Believing that communication is vital to the development of society and the fulfillment of individuals, Fundación Orange is committed to promoting philanthropic projects in three main areas: disability, education and culture, in line with the Orange Foundation Group activities worldwide.

In particular, Fundación Orange has a special focus on helping people with autism welcoming them with dignity, and fostering social integration. In addition, information and communication technology is used as an important tool in many projects to improve the lives of people with communication barriers.

Logo ITASD CongressTECHNOLOGIES FOR AUTISM CONGRESS
The Technologies for Autism Congress was held in Valencia in July 2012, first international congress in this field, confirmed as a point of contact on the technologies for people with ASD (TEA in Spanish), their families and the professionals who work in this field. Next edition in 2014.

A set of leisure, communication and planning tools aimed at improving the quality of life of people with autism or intellectual discapacity. The applications contain pictograms, glyphs, images and sounds that can be adapted to each user, in addition to being able to add new pictograms, photos of relatives and friends, as well as their voices, etc.


Logo e-MintzaE-MINTZA

A dynamic system of augmentative and alternative communication aimed at people with autism or with oral or written communication barriers. The display is easily customisable as far as the language used is concerned, texts, images, videos or sounds, based on the necessities of the user, who will be able to preferablyinteract using a touch screen on a tablet type device, but also using a conventional mouse on a computer.

Doctor TEA (ASD in Spanish) tries to facilitate medical visits of people with ASD through use of new technologies. Providing information on the most frequent medical practices so that they can understand and anticipate them, in addition, giving information to doctors on the characteristics of these patients.

Using Augmented Reality to teach people with ASD to understand pictograms creating a virtual space with highly customizable educational activities. By means of a camera-projector and through recognition of movement one is able to reproduce the image of a person in a series of graphical and musical elements that will guide their learning.

An application to easily access a computer and a communicator thanks to a support system allowing a tutor to customize the use of all features and programs for the disabled person.

A multimedia tool aimed at people with autism and that emulates the behaviour of a conventional agenda, so that users can complete their agendas and structure the activities that make up their daily lives.

Contemplates an application of sub-lexical reading for people with low functioning ASD. Based on six phases: Attention, Video, Image, Drawings, Pictograms and Games.


Logo SPQRSPQR

An application that allows one to access information in a customized way, according to the necessities of each person. SPQR has been developed with the aim of helping to give people with a functional diversity access to the information and the possibility of interacting with their surroundings, although it is suitable for any person and any use.

The first navigator designed specifically for children with autism and it already has more than 3 million users throughout the world. The well-known navigator is an interactive space that grows with this new Gold version and offers a full platform of games, activities, videos… all of them directed at the world of infants and classified according to the different sections.

An all in one multimedia solution based on pictograms designed to help parents, professionals, therapists, and, definitively the support group that surround people with autism.

This website based on Person Centered Planning (PCP) methodology facilitates the work of professionals and families surrounding the person with autism to help them to realise their potential.


Cultural and leisure activities

Logo Talking with artTALKING WITH ART

This initiative aims to emphasize familiarisation with museums
and creativity in general of people with ASD, working on cognitive stimulation and the enjoyment of perception, ability to discriminate and understand, through art. This is carried out on a weekly basis in several important Spanish Museums and also in classrooms in Madrid.

The program, a new leisure activity for people with autism, develops a series of adapted basketball classes with the aim of studying the benefits that people with autism could have by practicing this sport.


Logo Pilates and autismPILATES AND AUTISM

This project provides Autistic children with a new leisure activity, in an area where there are not a lot of activities adapted to their needs. The course aimed at children with autism, to experience the physical and mental qualities of Pilates and thus gain greater control and balance over their bodies.
